About the Counselor

Hello, I am Ms. Villarreal, the Counselor at Sheldon Elementary. I would like to introduce myself and my goals and objectives for our campus. I graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Spanish and Education and M. ED. in School Counseling. I taught 5yrs. of high school Spanish. After my years in the classroom, I transitioned to the counseling position.  

My goal is to help students at Sheldon Elementary be successful by incorporating positive behavior through character education. My primary objective is to foster a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes the overall well-being and success of our students. I firmly believe that a positive school climate is essential in creating a space where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. With this in mind, I will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and fellow staff members to ensure that all students feel valued and supported.

I am fully committed to supporting our students and working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure their success. Open lines of communication are crucial, so I invite you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or suggestions throughout the school year.
