Superintendent’s Scholar Squad holds first meeting

On September 27, members of the Superintendent’s Scholar Squad held its first meeting at the NEY Administration Building. The Superintendent’s Scholar Squad is a student advisory program and offers recommendations to support school system programs and initiatives. Members are Sheldon ISD elementary, middle and high school students who focus on continuous improvement throughout the district.

The group is made up of 13 members representing various schools in Sheldon ISD. During the first meeting, students got to know one another and learned more about the school district and their community. Together, the squad will determine a community service project in the Sheldon community and work on ways to make a difference for others. This is a year-long program. Applications will open for the 2024-25 school year in May 2024.
