I am excited to start my third year at Sheldon Elementary as the Math and Science Instructional Coach. I have been a part of Sheldon ISD for eight years. I earned my Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Lamar University. I later obtained my Master’s in Education Administration from Lamar University as well. I have served as an Academic Advisor, Elementary Math/Science Teacher, Title 1 Coordinator and 1st-5th grade Math Interventionist.
Currently in my capacity as a Math and Science Instructional Coach, I work to positively impact math and science teachers and students. My objective is to teach students and teacher’s effective ways to become successful in the Mathematics and Science classroom, focus on instruction, and lead our campus forward in reaching our academic goals.
I am excited to start another year as an Instructional Coach at Sheldon Elementary. This is my 15th year in education. Over my span of time working in education I have been a classroom teacher, Program Lead Teacher, Department Chair for PreK-5 English Language Arts, Mentor Teacher, and a facilitator. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Education) for the University of Houston - Clear Lake in 2003. In 2009 I completed a Master's degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.
